Fire and smoke study for animation
There was a breeze which regularly changed directions creating some fascinating dynamics.

I shot a number of reference videos today, in real-time and slow-motion, so that I could study the dynamics of fire and smoke.

I regret not bringing some baking potatoes and marshmallows for lunch.
Three weeks later, I did remember to take some potatoes, wrapped them in foil and put them in the bonfire at half past ten, and dug them out with a coal shovel at ten to one. 5 beautiful baked potatoes for a hungry crew.
